Abstract
The democratic-socialist, left-democratic and liberal religious political parties are active in Bangladesh. This study only addresses the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami as a research sample among the Islamic political parties to analyze the financial management practices. This research is carried out by employing the data of ten organizational wards of the Dhaka South City Corporation area by conducting the independent sampling method. The results show that the party mainly collects funds through donations from its internal manpower and donations from well-wishers. The general people also contribute to their particular period of fundraising. Apart from political activities, the party mostly spends a lot of money on social welfare works. Such social welfare work activities have achieved acceptance among the people. This party conducts audits every year with an experienced team in accounting to ensure the transparency of expenditure management. A designated Finance Secretary professionally maintains all accounts. This research article provides some recommendations for the political party.
