Abstract

Human trafficking remains a critical human rights violation in Bangladesh, with forced labor and sex trafficking posing the most significant threats. This study examines the impacts of these forms of trafficking on fundamental human rights, focusing on violations of freedom, dignity, and protection from exploitation. Using a mixed-methods approach, it explores legal and socio-economic factors contributing to trafficking and assesses the effectiveness of current policies and legal frameworks in addressing these issues. Findings highlight gaps between policy intent and enforcement, emphasizing the need for legal reform and stronger protections for victims. This research aims to deepen understanding of trafficking’s impact on human rights in Bangladesh and to propose actionable recommendations for policy improvement.
